Virtual Conversation Tables
Many of our buildings are closed to the public and most likely your day-to-day routine has changed. The Utah Museums Association and Utah Division of Arts & Museums are facilitating online conversations every Friday at 2 pm to keep you connected and share ideas about timely topics relevant to the museum community.
We appreciate all of you who have participated so far. We have decided to move these conversations to once a week. This is a new use of technology for many of us and as we expected there have been some bumps along the way but we will continue to make adjustments as needed.
Each conversation will have a topic to keep us focused. If you have suggestions for topics or would be willing to lead a topic please let us know by filling out this form. After each virtual table conversation we will pull together resources shared with the group and add them here.

These conferences/trainings provide opportunities to expand organizations’ skill sets and network with other museum professionals in the field.
Please read the guidelines here.
new museum directory update
We’re updating our state museum directory, and we need input from Utah’s museum community. Please click on the button below to open the PDF and find your organization’s name and information in the alphabetized list. If your information is incorrect, please email Emily Johnson with any updates at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!
old museum directory
The Utah Division of Arts & Museums invites you to discover Utah’s museums through a variety of exhibits and programs our museums have to offer. More than 260 Utah museums offer you a rich and diverse experience in a wide range of subjects, from art, culture, and history, to science, botanical gardens, and zoos. This directory has divided Utah museums into six regions, with cities listed alphabetically in each region: Wasatch Front, Northern, Eastern, West Desert, Central, and Southwest.
Museums Advocacy Day
The Utah Museums Association and the Advisory Board of the Office of Museum Services host Museums Advocacy Day in the Capitol Rotunda. Mark your calendars for the next Museums Advocacy Day, which will be held March 10, 2020.
